At City Paws Emergency Care, we use Instinct as our electronic medical record (EMR) system, with Shareville as our online portal for sharing patient records.

Clients can now access their pet’s medical records, laboratory results, appointment information, and invoices 24/7 without needing to call the office!

How to Access Your Pet’s Records

  • Check-Out: When your pet is discharged from our hospital, you will receive an automated email at the address listed on your account. This email contains a direct link to the pet portal.
  • Viewing Records: If this is your first time logging in, enter the email address associated with your City Paws Emergency Care account. You will then receive a second email titled “Sign in to City Paws Emergency Care Pet Portal” to complete your access. This creates a “magic link” so you don’t have to use a password to access in the future!
  • Access: Once access is gained to your City Paws Emergency Care Pet Portal, you will have access to view all pets listed under your personal account. Within each pet, you can view chart documents, diagnostic/imaging, estimates/invoices, and appointments.

How to Access Patient Records via Shareville

When your client lists you as their primary care veterinarian, we enter your information into the patient record. Here’s how you’ll receive updates:

  • Check-In Notification:
    You will receive an automatic email when your patient arrives at our hospital. This email includes a direct link to the patient’s records in Shareville, along with a link to view all your hospital’s patients currently being seen at City Paws Emergency Care.
  • Viewing Records:
    During the patient’s visit, you can access completed records and lab results in real time through the portal.
  • Check-Out Notification:
    After the visit, you will receive a second email with a summary of the patient’s care.
