Dr. Rachel Perteet

Originally from McAlester, Oklahoma, Dr. Rachel Perteet graduated from the Oklahoma State Center for Veterinary Specialties in 2011. She spent the first six years of her career outside the Dallas metroplex, working as a mixed-animal veterinarian. It was work in this practice that her interest in ultrasound began. Dr. Perteet then pursued a year-long training program in small animal abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography with Sound Eklin in 2017. The next few years were spent doing relief work at a variety of practices, including specialty emergency medicine, shelter medicine, vaccine clinics, and primary care hospitals across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Oklahoma City became her home in 2018, and she has since had the opportunity to work with the local veterinary community. While providing mobile ultrasound and relief work at these practices, the idea for an urgent care hospital emerged. This new hospital strives to be “in between” the primary care doctor they see regularly and the emergency room. She has a passion for ultrasound, surgery, feline medicine, and minor emergencies.
